Is your smile not working the way it should? Do you need to restore the function of your teeth? Restorative dentistry from Brar Dentistry can help.
The restorative dentistry is needed when the patients have lost the tooth structure and it needs to be restored. It's either because the tooth has decayed out or they have lost it because of crack lines, or fracture lines have caused their teeth to split. That's when restorative needs are done. The patients who do brux, or grind their teeth, or clash their teeth are high-risk patients. They are the ones who will either break their teeth because they have this habit of grinding at night time. Those people really need restorative dentistry where we can restore the damage to the tooth structure.
Restore your smile
Restorative dentistry is all about repairing your smile and restoring the function of your teeth. We offer different restorative techniques, including fillings, crowns and bridges, implants, and even root canals, to make sure that your teeth can continue to do their job, and if they can’t, to replace them. We make sure that a fully functional smile results in a great-looking smile.
We use composite dental fillings for our patients. This lets us give you fillings that match the color of the tooth that needs repairing. No more silver fillings sticking out in your smile – you can have a decay-free, healthy tooth that has nothing but white showing.
Noninvasive root canals
In fact, root canals at our office do not hurt. Many times the nerve in the tooth is already dead, so all you feel is the movement in your tooth. We apply a numbing agent more as a precaution against pain than a real need. You do not have to fear root canal treatment anymore thanks to the skilled hands of Dr. Brar and Dr. Bram.
Repair damaged teeth with dental crowns, bridges, onlay, inlays
Dental crowns are an effective treatment for a number of problems. Cracked and broken teeth are easily fixed with dental crowns. Severe tooth decay may leave you with too little tooth material left for a dental filling to be effective. In these instances, dental crowns are able to keep all the pieces of your tooth together and restore it back to a working condition.
A bridge is a tooth replacement option made of crowns. Two crowns are bonded to a replacement tooth and secured on the teeth on either side of a gap in your smile. This literally “bridges” the gap between teeth and fills the space with a usable replacement.
These porcelain restorations are called three-quarter crowns or partial crowns. We may use them when a dental filling is not enough of a fix and a full dental crown is not required.
